During your first dental visit we like to get to know you, your dental history and build a plan for prolonged dental health.
Included in your first dental visit to Hillside dental:
A thorough set of digital X-ray images helps us discover your current dental health status. This set of X-rays is essential in assessing your total and complete dental plan.
To get a full picture and set the course for your relationship with us, we take a series of digital x-rays of the full range of your teeth. Digital X-rays use 1/10 of the radiation of analogue X-rays and are safe.
X-rays are also important for denture wearers as well. Drs. Kent and Ron Scoville and Dr. Oberg can determine if a denture wearer has adequate bone to support dentures or implants, and if there has been any wear and tear over the years that need restoration. Plus, X-rays are an excellent way in checking for impacted wisdom teeth, bone fractures, cysts, tumors, lesions or sinus issues.
Our doctors review your X-rays with you. You should always ask any questions you have so that you can reference the images with the dentist. After the dental x-ray review, Drs. Ron, Kent Scoville or Dr. Oberg will perform a comprehensive oral exam.
No two patients will have identical dental health history, so why would they need the same treatment? Our dentists take great pride in the fact that they customize each patient’s care and treatment.
You are apart of your dental treatment. Our doctors and staff always want you to be fully aware of any procedures or advised treatment that are best suited for you. Remember to arrive 15 minutes before your first dental visit in order to fill our your new patient forms.
We look forward to treating you with care, respect and the latest in dental technology.
